# Go-live checklist

> The four steps between a fresh account and your first live order

Work through these in order — each step unlocks the next.

## 1. Connect your Shopify store

Link your store to Apptics so your products, customers, and orders stay in
sync — see [Link your Shopify store](/getting-started/link-your-shopify-store)
for the 5-minute setup. Once connected, your catalog imports automatically.

## 2. Add a payment account

Go to **Payments** and connect at least one payment account (MID). This is
the account that processes your charges — without one, checkout can't take
payment.

## 3. Design and publish your checkout

Open the checkout designer, customize your page, and hit **Publish**. Only a
published checkout is shown to shoppers — drafts are never visible.

## 4. Optional: use your own domain

Serve checkout from a branded subdomain like `checkout.yourstore.com` instead
of the default Apptics URL. See

Once the first three are done, your checkout is live and taking orders.
