# Design your checkout

> Build, publish, and manage the checkout page your shoppers see

The checkout designer gives you full control over the page shoppers see —
layout, branding, colors, and content — without touching code.

## Building your page

Open the designer, click any section to edit it, and changes appear in the
live preview as you make them. You can:

* Apply a **custom theme** — colors, fonts, and page style that match your
brand, with your logo in the shape you want.
* Upload **images and video** straight into the page.
* Add an **upsell offer** so shoppers can add a deal to their order at the
  moment of purchase.
* Add **custom scripts** (analytics, tracking pixels) that run on your
  checkout.

## Drafts, publishing, and versions

Nothing shoppers see changes until you hit **Publish** — you can save drafts
freely. Every publish is kept as a version, so you can view older versions
and restore one as a new draft at any time. Templates you no longer need can
be deleted.

## Testing before you go live

Use the preview to walk through your checkout exactly as a shopper would.
While your store has no live payment account, checkout runs in test mode —
marked with a badge — so you can complete practice orders safely.
